Google now marketing the use of QR Barcode.
QR barcodes enable modern mobile phones to read the barcode, and jump directly to a mobile website.
Security Imaging has been using QR Barcodes for over a year now helping companies identify employees in this mobile world. Today in the mail we received the Google map sticker to stick on to our company window and show that we are a google most popular searched business.
Information about QR Verify "Click link"
Here is how google is using the QR Barcode.
Today, Google announced a new service that it will be giving to popular businesses around the country, a service to be called “Google Favorite Places,” and the idea is fairly simple. Google has mailed customized window stickers to business across the U.S. that are frequently searched for on google.com or in Google Maps — 100,00 have been sent out so far. Each sticker bears a QR barcode ready to be scanned by a cell phone reader, when scanned the code provides a link to Google’s entry for the local business which contains general information, reviews, coupons, and other pertinent information. Favorite Places also has a website were you can check out what Google classifies as a “favorite” in your area. So simple it might work? We’re not sure, but we do have the silent video Google made to go along with this project queued up for you after the break.

Twain driver issues using windows 7
Many ID badge programs use a twain driver to start a camera and produce an image.
We were told from a software manufacture that Microsoft Windows 7 does not support a twian driver for use with your ID software program. I have not had any customers with this issue but I wanted to let you know if you upgrade to windows 7 that it may not work with your id badge program.
We hope this issue will be a fix in future windows 7 updates but if I were you let Microsoft know that they need to make this option available.
