Lanyards a Fashion Statement

Have you noticed the fashion statement some women are making with their identification badges?

When badges first hit our offices we didn't quite know how to wear them. Most people have stuck to putting a plain old black cord, id attached, around their neck every morning. Some brave souls began wearing lanyards in the colors of their favorite sport teams, or some museum they visited.

Now it seems as if every conference or training session I go to the organizers hand out Imprinted lanyards with the name of the event sponsor on it. Lanyard as advertising tool.

Now the lanyard has become a fashion statement.

Some women are wearing beautiful lanyards made of fabulous beads and crystals. They look more like a necklace than a chain to hold an id.

Others wear lanyards covered with pins, or "flair" as the restaurant boss told Jennifer Aniston in the movie Office Space.
